About Us

Dr. Jamé Heskett

The founder of Wellpath, Dr. Jamé Heskett, is a family physician and mother of two. She received her medical degree from George Washington University and completed her post-graduate residency training at Swedish Medical in Seattle, where she also received her certificate as a Homeopath in Primary Care.

In her practice, Dr. Heskett integrates traditional Western medical training and state-of-the-art technology with natural medicine, homeopathy and nutrition, leading her clients toward optimal health.

Dr. Heskett has been featured on Good Morning America and the Today Show. She has also been profiled in Real Simple, Redbook, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Medhunters, Medical Spa, and First for Women magazines.




Jennifer Bengel, Spa Director

A former university professor, Jennifer brings with her a little bit of creativity and a lot of hard work. Jennifer is an experienced and certified endermologist, trained on the Cellu M6 as well as the newest lipomassage techniques. She is also an Aesthera Isolaz laser technician and has trained under Dr. Heskett for carboxytherapy. Jennifer loves helping women feel better about themselves.




Leda Lancaster, R.N.

Leda Lancaster, R.N. has been caring for women’s skin for more than 20 years and specializes in problem skin. She possesses an unequaled expertise in skin assessment and cleaning, and she performs distinctive, therapeutic facials. Wellpath has been named to Citysearch’s top 10 facials in New York City because of Leda’s superior work - and she also happens to be the best eyebrow shaper in the city!




Stephanie Bishop, Well-Balanced Pilates

Well-Balanced Pilates is run by Stephanie Bishop. Stephanie received her certification in 2000 under the instruction of Peter Roel, Phoebe Higgins, Susan Moran and Howard Sichel, through a rigorous 600-hour program. She is also certified in IM=X Pilates and is an ACE certified personal trainer. Stephanie has been teaching Pilates for more than five years in the New York area and was formerly a professional dancer with a BFA in Musical Theater from SUNY Fredonia. At Well-Balanced Pilates you will receive specific, caring instruction that caters to your own personal physical needs.




Tammy Day (LMT, Lac)

Tammy has been teaching at the Swedish Institute since 2001. Besides being a licensed massage therapist and a licensed acupuncturist, she is also a certified Reflexologist and Watsu practitioner. Her massage specialties include deep tissue (myofascial release, trigger point release, muscle/tendon injury treatments, neck, back and hip pain), foot reflexology, stretching/PNF techniques to increase flexibility, and full body relaxation Swedish massage. All sessions are customized to meet the client’s individual needs.
